The Directors bring to the Board relevant experience and skills, including industry and business knowledge, financial management and corporate governance experience.
Sonia Petering, Chair
Sonia has more than 15 years experience in non executive director and chair roles with listed and unlisted companies and government authorities across financial services, payments, insurance, professional services and healthcare.
Sonia is an experienced commercial lawyer who commenced her legal practice in 2001. She holds a current Victorian legal practicing certificate.
Sonia previously served as a non executive director on the boards of Transport Accident Commission of Victoria and Rural Finance Corporation of Victoria and as Chair of the Board of Rural Finance Corporation from 2009 - 2016. Sonia is also a non executive director of TAL Dai - ichi Australia Ltd, Qantm IP (ASX:QIP) and Cuscal Ltd.
Kate Munnings, Group CEO and Managing Director
Kate has a strong track record of leading teams that deliver exceptional services and drive commercial improvement; and in transforming businesses in preparation for changing operating environments.
A qualified lawyer and registered nurse, Kate’s breadth of professional experience equips her to lead the Virtus Health team in continuing to provide their exceptional work, which helps people become parents. Kate commenced as Group CEO 23 March 2020.
Prior to joining Virtus Health, Kate lead significant operations as Chief Operating Officer of Ramsay Health Care Limited’s Australian business; and as Chief Executive, Operations at ASX-listed Transfield Services Limited (now Broadspectrum Limited).
Kate has also been a partner at law firms Corrs Chambers Westgarth and Baker McKenzie; specialising in contract law and also spent 8 years as Chief Risk & Legal Officer/Company Secretary at Transfield Services focused on commercial law, risk management and corporate governance.
Kate previously served on the Board of South East Sydney Local Health District for 4 years and is currently a Board member of the Digital Health Cooperative Research Centre.
Dr Lyndon Hale, Executive Director
Lyndon has been the Medical Director of Melbourne IVF Pty Ltd since 2008. He is also Director of Reproductive Surgery at The Women’s Hospital, and is on the board of the Fertility Society of Australia. Lyndon is highly regarded for his knowledge and proactive approach and brings extensive experience in assisted reproduction treatments to the care of his patients.
Greg Couttas, Non-executive Director
Greg is a highly experienced audit partner having spent 40 years with Deloitte including 28 years as partner. During his formative years he worked in audit across various sectors, specialising in ASX100 clients. Greg’s expertise includes accounting, finance, auditing, risk management, corporate governance, capital markets and due diligence. Additionally, Greg held a number of management roles at Deloitte including being the Managing Partner for NSW from 2005 to 2008, chairing the Audit and Risk Committee for eleven years, and was a member of the Board of Partners for Deloitte Australia from 2005 to 2016.
Greg is the Chair of the Virtus Health Audit Committee.
Cathy Aston, Non-executive Director
Cathy is an experienced non-executive director and Chair of listed and unlisted entities covering digital, technology, financial services and government across Australia and Asia. She has a broad commercial background with senior roles in finance, marketing and strategy, including as the Finance Director for Telstra International and Chief Executive Officer of a Mobiles joint venture in Sri Lanka.
Cathy is currently a non-executive director with Macquarie Investment Management Ltd, IMB Bank Ltd, IVE Group (ASX: IGL) and Over the Wire Holdings (ASX: OTW), with the latter two roles also including Chair of Audit, Risk and Compliance committees. Cathy’s non-executive experience also includes serving as an Advisory Board Member of Avanseus, an AI business based out of Singapore.
Priscilla Rogers, Non-executive Director
As an engineer and an entrepreneur, Priscilla has direct experience in leading technology innovation to transform industries and improve health outcomes. With a PhD in engineering, she has spent her career in the research, development and translation of new technologies including artificial intelligence and digital health solutions, medical devices, and innovative sensors. This has included co-founding multiple companies across the health and automotive sectors, including Doftek, Grean Brands, and IntelliMedical, which was acquired in 2017. Prior to this, she was leading the Cognitive Health & Life Sciences portfolio at IBM Research - Australia.
Today, she is a Director of the Digital Health Cooperative Research Centre and the Australian Dementia Network Limited.
