A message from Ben Gray, Chair of Virtus Health

I am writing today to update you on an important change to Virtus’ leadership. After close to four years as the leader of Virtus Health, Kate Munnings has decided to step down and transition to next phase of her career.

Kate’s leadership, resilience, and commitment has been integral in supporting Virtus Health through a challenging period. Kate navigated Virtus through the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic, and supported the business through a significant period of change which included its transition to new ownership by BGH Capital. Her vision and dedication have been instrumental in preparing Virtus for the future, and she personally championed the development of the Precision Fertility™ Digital Platform.

As many of you may know, Kate is passionate about digital health and innovation, and it is with our support that she will take her next steps in this direction. We have no doubt that Kate will continue to make important contributions to healthcare.

New CEO and Leadership changes

One of Kate’s most important legacies is the world-class leadership team she built, a team which will continue to drive the business forward. From within this group, we are pleased to announce her successor - James Pyne - as CEO of Virtus. James joined the business in October 2022 as Chief Commercial and Finance Officer. James has had over 25 years of experience in numerous leadership roles across Wesfarmers, Coates Hire and Brakes Foodservice.

Please join us in congratulating James on his appointment and thanking Kate for her immense contribution to Virtus. Kate will work closely with James to ensure a smooth transition and will remain with Virtus until 31 December.

We look forward to continuing to invest in Virtus to ensure world class patient experiences and outcomes.

Best regards,

Ben Gray
Chair, Virtus
