Virtus Health appoints Head of New Ventures

Virtus Health is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Vin Smith to the role of Head of New Ventures.  

In this newly created part-time role, Vin will source and manage the growing portfolio of local and international start ups and partners that will help Virtus Health deliver on its vision of being the global leader in Precision Fertility. 

“Vin will help us in developing our global ecosystem of partners whose technologies can be integrated into our Precision Fertility Digital Platform to improve pregnancy outcomes and enhance patient and clinician experience,” said Kate Munnings, Group CEO of Virtus Health.

As a practicing physician in obstetrics and gynaecology, Vin has a deep understanding of women’s health and is passionate about improving health outcomes and reducing the financial and social anxiety often felt by women across their lifetime. Vin also has a PhD in innovation management and runs research initiatives at Monash University and Monash Health that looks at innovation across healthcare. Vin has a strong background working in early-stage healthcare and technology companies, sits on advisory groups in the medical devices sector and has a deep interest in venture capital.
